Physical Therapy Hand/Wrist Treatment

Whether you have a hand injury or wrist injury, we can help you through recovery. Sometimes, however, an orthopedic doctor might recommend hand/wrist physical therapy first. Physical therapy is typically the number one treatment for those who do not require surgery. Post-surgical hand and wrist procedures too.

At your first physical therapy appointment, the specialist will evaluate your hand/wrist to get a closer look. Then, we will design your hand/wrist treatment plan. Our highly trained and licensed physical therapists provide hands-on therapy. So, you can get the most out of your sessions.

At your first appointment, the specialist will go over your imaging and your physician’s notes on your injury if they are available. Your physical therapist will customize your treatment plan, which may include passive physical therapy such as manual physical therapy, ice packs, heat application, and electro-stimulation. Then, he/she will begin to incorporate active physical therapy into your sessions. Active physical therapy, however, includes stretches and exercises for strengthening injury or worsening your condition.
