Physical Therapy Knee Treatment

When experiencing a knee injury or a knee condition, conservative treatment first is the best option. However, this may depend on the severity. After being diagnosed, knee pain is typically treated by physical therapy or injections, sometimes both.

During physical therapy, your therapist will determine the exercises and a treatment plan to go forward with for your knee condition or injury. Our physical therapy department at Spine & Orthopedic Center offers some of the best physical therapy equipment. Plus, comfortable space and different methods for optimal healing.

First, the physical therapists will go over your imaging and your physician’s notes on your knee. Next, they will determine the best treatment plan for you. Your physical therapist will then customize your treatment plan. For example, manual physical therapy, ice packs, heat application, and electro-stimulation will be used. Next, your therapist will begin to incorporate active physical therapy into your sessions. The therapist will then begin to incorporate active physical therapy into your sessions. Active physical therapy includes stretches and exercises. These activities are used for strengthening the area that is injured, or for the worsening condition.
